Foundations for the very youngest learners: receiving and producing single words and short formulaic chunks — hello, bye-bye, colours, numbers 1-5, family members, basic classroom objects. Heavy emphasis on listening, song, TPR (total physical response) and motor-skill activities (colouring, tracing, stickers). No formal reading/writing — letter recognition only at the very end. Sets up the phonics + literacy ramp that Level 1 will pick up.
